We are frequent travellers and rate the 'Metro Suite" as the best all-round 'home away from home' that we have been in on any continent. All we needed to bring were our personal items - Steve and Trish provided everything else to meet all of our needs for our stay as well as a welcome package of food so that we did not have to run to the grocery store right away. Things you can count on: a quiet, secure building; a comfortable nights sleep; well appointed furniture; all the cooking utensils you will require; the proximity to downtown and the harbour; a great starting point for shopping and walks. We have already booked for next year and that is the best compliment we can pay to our hosts.

We spent the month of March/10 at the City Skyline Suite and we must say the bar has been raised. The apartment was well furnished and equipped. Steve and Trish made it very easy moving in with help and a few supplies so we didn't have rush out to buy groceries immediately. The view is fantastic and location ideal. Just parked the car most of the time and did a lot of walking which we enjoyed. We've been spoiled and would consider staying again should we go back to Victoria. Thanks very much.

We just got back from New Orleans where we stayed in an apartment that had absolutely rave reviews (VRBO). Great location in the French Quarter, but I can tell you that it did not hold a candle to your Metro Suite rental. So, just a quick note to say again how much we appreciated:

We recently enjoyed our first stay at Steve and Trish's lovely 2 bedroom City Skyline Suite in the Corazon Building. Everything was great - very well kept, very comfortable, airy, bright and contemporary with all needed amenities - and that great view! We spent a great week in the apartment and the pictures and hosts are all what they appear to be in the site and others comments. They met us showed us everything about the place plus were there to help us in our exit. On time and very friendly. The view and access to all of downtown Victoria makes this a perfect location plus very relaxing . No doubt on my next trip to Victoria I will hope to find the City Skyline Suite open

We frequently stay in hotels but this was our first condo rental and you've set the standard pretty high from now on for us. The City Skyline Suite was perfect for our family both in style and location. We were able to relax in beautiful surroundings with a postcard-like view and yet walk to everything we wanted. We couldn't have asked for a more comfortable or convenient place to stay for a month than in the City Skyline suite. The apartment was so well equipped that we had everything we needed. And the location downtown...well, it couldn't have been better. Steve met us on arrival (Trish was unavailable at that moment) and made sure we were properly settled in having showed us all the amenities in the condo. Aileen particularly appreciated having the laundry facility right in the flat and what could be better than having a free telephone service throughout the North American continent ?. In fact, everything went swimmingly the whole month...except this year's weather...and Steve and Trish could not be held responsible for that !!!. Having the Inner Harbour so close was a big plus and the bus service right at the door was a blessing. All in all we had an excellent holiday and would recommend this condo to anyone contemplating a stay in Victoria.

The Metro Suite is a beautiful, secure condo in a great location in downtown Victoria. I have stayed in several condos in the same area but none as nice, as comfortable, nor as well equipped. The owners are charming and were extremely helpful and hospitable. They have provided every amenity you could possibly imagine. I just spent a month in this lovely condo and look forward to another stay in the future.

We arrived later than planned but Steve was there to meet us off the bus and show us to the Metro Suite apartment. We were so grateful for the goodies, bread, milk, butter, tea etc and as our bags had not arrived with us the toiletries were most welcome. The apartment far exceeded our expectations and was equipped to a high standard. TV, DVD player, stereo and internet access with free local calls really helped to make us feel "home". The laundry system was great too so no need to bring so many clothes next time!! Trish and Steve went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. Their hospitality & friendliness is genuine. Thanks Trish & Steve you helped to make our holiday truly memorable. All the best for the future Chris & Alan.

We were so pleased to find such a wonderful place for our week in Victoria. We have used the Vacation Rental By Owner (VRBO) web site to find apartments or villas both in the USA and in Europe. Our condo apartment, the Metro Suite, in Victoria rates #1, tied with a favorite apartment in Engleberg, Switzerland. We found our suite to be imaculate and very well equipped. The location was perfect as we just wanted to be downtown near the harbour and great restaurants. We did shop at the wonderful gourmet market for some meals we prepared and served on our deck balcony. The notebook of information was especially helpful in finding restaurants and places we wanted to visit. We would add Camilles to the restaurant list. Steve and Trish are the ultimate hosts. Due to both a plane and ferry delay, we arrived in Victoria at 11:45 p.m. Steve and Trish insisted on meeting us, even at that hour, to take us to our apartment where we found fresh fruit and other choices for snack or breakfast. Having a contact in case of questions or emergency was reassuring. We especially appreciated the use of the phone for calling back to the states due to a family illness. We also appreciate the fact that recycling is expected and made easy. We enjoyed having the harbour, Parliament, the BC Museum, Fisherman's wharf, a gourmet grocery, and wonderful restaurant choices within walking distance. Since we had been to some of the other attractions in the Victoria area, we chose not to rent a car this trip. We even took the city bus out to the University as we love exploring different university campuses. We were fortunate to be in Victoria during the Dragon Boat Festival which we enjoyed very much. Nice to compare this benefit to similar benefits in our home city. We hope to return to Victoria and will check the calendar to make sure this rental is available before we make flight reservations.

In addition to being perfectly located, the apartment is superbly furnished with a great view of the surrounding landscape. It really was an absolute pleasure staying in the Skyline Suite, the apartment is beautiful with fantastic views, and Steve and Trish could not have been more welcoming or helpful. I don't think they missed even the smallest detail ensuring the suite is a real home from home!It's a great location for walking around Victoria, and with the underground parking we were able to have a car and drive off around the island. I wish we could have stayed for more than a week but hopefully we'll be back! Thanks!

What a wonderful month's stay in the Metro Suite. Vacation rental pictures online rarely match reality but the Metro exceeded our expectations. It sparkles, bright, clean, nicely furnished with so many personal details to make the stay enjoyable. We so appreciated having juice, coffee milk and bread already in the fridge so we didn't have to shop as soon as we arrived. Our guests really appreciated a sofa bed mattress that is actually comfortable to sleep on. The location is superb - within easy walking distance of the inner harbor, shopping, restaurants, markets, etc. The added bonus is the superb hospitality of our hosts Trish and Steve. They are the kind of hosts you always hope to find - warm, helpful, caring, honest. See you next year!

"The Metro Suite has to be one of the cleanest most well equipped units we've ever stayed in. Very close to the harbour, quiet and close to many attractions. We made many walking tours to Beacon Hill Park and enjoyed the wild life immensely.

We have just completed a three-week stay in this suite which is very well equipped and furnished and the location in downtown Victoria could not be better. Lots of good restaurants and shopping within short walking distances. The high-speed internet is fast and reliable. The building is quiet and we encountered no noise in the hallways. There were no negative surprises. In fact, we had a wonderful, positive experience. Steve and Trish are very attentive, helpful owner/landlords.

Steve & Trish were great hosts, which included kindly providing a few groceries for our late arrival. The apartment was well located downtown, was in excellent condition and was very clean. The apartment was modernly furnished with stainless steel appliances and unique furnishings. The building was extremely secure with an advanced security system. The free long distance calls were a nice inclusion.
Try the coffee shop that is in the building (Cafe Mela.) It was very good.
Steve and Trish made our stay very enjoyable and we highly recommend this property to other customers

As for Victoria itself the iconic attractions are everything they are touted to e but there is a depth and breadth to Victoria that is worth discovering. The Maritime Museum, Mungo Martine House, The BC Museum and Beacon Hill park were the second level "finds" that made Victoria a first class conference and holiday. We happen to think the apartment, Trish and Steve were also standouts in their own way of our time in Victoria. Would like to do it all again one day.

I have stayed at both City Life Suites now on two occasions for business travel. The suites are by far my favourite place to be while visiting Victoria. What could be better than coming home from a day of work than having all the comforts of home. I've hosted guests for dinner in the cozy living room, enjoyed morning breakfasts on the patio, and made tea in the kitchen late at night. Everything you need is there - I woke up one morning to rain (and no raincoat) and found umbrellas in the closet! You just can't get that level of comfort - or the incredible hospitality and support that Trish and Steve offer - from a hotel. I highly recommend these suites for business travellers - will make your stay feel like a vacation!

We had an excellent experience staying at the Urban Suite. It provides a far superior alternative to a generic hotel room. Our exceptional hosts, Trish and Steve keep an immaculate place and their thoughtfulness is evident in the smallest details such as the umbrellas for inclement weather, the chocolates on the pillow, the cherries from their very own tree! For short or long term stays - the suite has it all. The location is excellent, just 5 mins from Government Street and the Empress Hotel. Beacon Hill Park is also a pleasant stroll away. I have no hesitation in recommending the Urban Suite to any and all discerning travellers.

The location is just perfect for touring Victoria as it is only 2 blocks from the harbour, B.C. Legislature buildings and the Royal Museum. Close to all amenities... the Inner Harbour, Convention Centre, shops and great dining places. A little noisy with the bus traffic and inner city traffic. However, enjoyed whale watching, and smelling the beautiful flowers. A must do again experience.

“Having stayed at this tranquil retreat while on our honeymoon, we can easily attest to this lovely condo's ability to relax even the most uptight folk. Arriving in Vic straight from the wedding, our jaws dropped at both the crisp & clean modern decor and the owner's vast attention to detail. Scented soaps, a coffee grinder, flat screen TV's, a rice cooker, lush towels, bamboo floors and even candles to help jumpstart our romantic seafood dinners on the patio. We were also thrilled to find such an accommodating condo that was close enough to the inner harbour in case we wanted to hit the tourist attractions and yet still secluded enough to slip away from the crowds. Close to great parks, Market square, the organic grocery on Yates, movie theaters, the Strathcona, and Pescatores. We simply cannot say enough --- five stars! We'll be back for another sleek getaway soon!”

“It was a pleasure to stay here. Having just moved here from Toronto, this was a perfect introduction to downtown living in Victoria before moving into my new home. The location was perfect. Everything is within walking distance! The suite is beautiful, very comfortable, safe and clean. Loved the full kitchen and to be within walking distance of one of Victoria’s famous organic food markets (Market on Yates) was a real treat! It was also lovely to walk downtown within minutes to take part in the tourist activities. I must thank you so very much for the great service you provided. I really enjoyed my stay!
